Rapture and Embrace
by Tabitha Murphy
Rapture and Embrace is a complicated phrase that leads to the spiritual love of one’s self. Without rapture and embrace you will find it very difficult to go day to day and tackled the every day trials of the world. In order to explain rapture and embrace I would like to first break the two words down, rapture and embrace.
Let’s start with rapture
Rapture is an ecstatic joy or delight; joyful ecstasy, or on a higher level rapture is a carry off to meet with Jesus himself. However, I would like for to reflect on the synonyms of rapture: bliss, beatitude; transport, exaltation, and ecstasy. These particular words express satisfaction in its purest form.
Now let’s speak on embrace
Embrace means to take or receive gladly or eagerly; accept willingly: and the synonyms for embrace are: adopt, espouse, welcome, seize, comprise, cover, embody. These words represents acceptance in its purest form.
Elaborate Rapture:
Now that we know what each word means let see how it applies to ourselves. To rapture and embrace one’s self you have to first be comfortable with yourself. You have to love yourself in way in which another human being cannot believe to understand or contemplate. This is where self-love comes into play. Yes, self-love is a word that I use quiet often because it is a word that is not fully understood nor appreciated. When you rapture yourself you are in pure bliss with yourself, you understand the beatitude of your nature, you transport love into yourself, you are exalted by the understanding of yourself, and to possess all this knowledge of one’s self it will eventually leave to be in ecstasy with all that you are and will soon be.
Elaborate Embrace:
The same applies with embrace. To truly embrace one’s self you have to welcome who you are as an individual that means stop looking at your flaws as being a curse or being something negative. Accept your flaws as perfections and who God made you to be. Because before you can start changing what you do not like you have love yourself in its entirety. You have to seize the moment to be the best you can be at all times because every moment counts when you are getting to know you. Cover yourself with self-compliments, now these compliments are not for public acknowledgement but when you are looking at yourself in the mirror. Adopt a healthy and virtuous lifestyle that will enable you to constantly improve upon yourself so that you can be in a likeness of God and cover yourself with the love that flows from God. This love will serve as a blanket on the days you are feeling bad about yourself and will be an important uplifting factor in your life. And finally, embody the grace of God and take it within yourself. Once you do this you will be able to fully embody who you are as a person and you will then be able to accept yourself and then fully understand the meaning of self-love.
This brings to mind:
Proverbs 4:8
“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her.”
These two words are very valuable and they are words that we as women need to put into practice on a daily. We have to know the importance to practice rapture and embrace and accepting the knowledge of the terms will then as women we will be free to love ourselves as we truly deserve.
